President Nana Akufo-Addo has charged the state-owned enterprises to comply with the State Interests and Governance Authority’s (SIGA) directive to submit audited financial statements and sign performance contracts is non-negotiable.
He emphasised the need for strict adherence to enhance transparency and accountability.
The President was speaking at the 5th Annual Stakeholders Engagement of SIGA held in Kwawu-Nkwatia, of the Eastern Region.
President Akufo-Addo noted that, preparing and publishing State Ownership Reports will add valuable insights into the performance of public enterprises.
The establishment of SIGA five years ago has played a crucial role in overseeing and managing the state’s interests in various entities.
Its mandate includes providing effective oversight and support to state-owned enterprises, joint venture companies, and state entities.
