Akufo-Addo charges new Chief Justice to change face of Judicial Service

President Nana Akufo-Addo has charged the newly sworn in Chief Justice, Justice Anin-Yeboah, to ensure modernisation, decency, fairness among others, in the country’s justice delivery system as he takes office today.

The President has also described as unacceptable, the practice by some judges who cite no authority for their rulings and also give orders without reasons and has charged the new Chief Justice to work towards correcting those challenges.

He said this at the swearing in ceremony of Justice Anin-Yeboah as a new Chief Justice at the Jubilee House, Tuesday afternoon.

President Akufo-Addo pledged to address the infrastructural needs of the Judicial Service as has been the dream of retired Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.

According to him, good or proper infrastructure will help boost the work of the Judicial Service.

He also assured him of the support of the executive.
