The Deputy Regional Chief Imam of Ahafo, Alhaji Mohammed Unus, has called on newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) to prioritize development in the region to improve the living standards of its residents.

Speaking at a meeting with Imams and MPs-elect in Mehame, Alhaji Unus emphasized the need for urgent developmental projects to bridge the gap in infrastructure and services in Ahafo.

He noted that the region has lagged behind in development and urged the MPs to fulfill their mandate by addressing the needs of the people.

“The residents elected you because they trust you to deliver on their expectations. You must work diligently to bring development to Ahafo and uplift the standard of living for everyone,” he stated during an interview with Adom News.

The Deputy Imam expressed optimism that the MPs-elect would rise to the challenge and ensure Ahafo’s progress in the coming years.
