Ahafo Deputy Chief Imam commends Muslim youth peaceful elections conduct

-

The Ahafo Regional Deputy Chief Imam, Alhaji Mohammed Unus, has praised Muslim communities in the region for their restraint and refusal to engage in any form of election-related violence.

Speaking to Adom News, Alhaji Mohammed Unus highlighted that in the past, youth from Zongo communities were often targeted and used to incite violence during elections.

However, he attributed this year’s peaceful conduct to intensive education and awareness campaigns led by Imams and other Muslim leaders, which successfully encouraged the youth to steer clear of violence.

He further appealed to all Ghanaians, regardless of their political affiliations or religious backgrounds, to rally behind the President-elect and Members of Parliament to collectively work towards building a better Ghana.
