‘Agyapadie’ document is a piece of nonsense forged by NDC – Atta Akyea [Video]

Former Minister of Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea is certain the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is behind the widely-circulated ‘Agyapadie’ document.

He argued that, the document is a deliberate attempt to manipulate public perception and undermine the achievements of the NPP government.

Speaking ahead of the party’s manifesto launch in Takoradi, Mr Atta Akyea dismissed the document as “nonsense” that should be ignored.

“It is extremely childish to think that a thief would document his tactics and plans on paper. I suspect that this document was likely forged by the NDC because no rational person would create a document for their own disgrace. It’s a piece of nonsense that we shouldn’t pay attention to,” he emphasized.

With less than four months to the general elections, the 38-page document, which has no identified author, has gone viral on social media.

The document prominently features the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, on the cover, with President Nana Akufo-Addo and his late father on the following page.

The document allegedly outlines strategies for a particular ‘family’ or ‘clan’ to establish total dominance in the country by controlling key sectors such as the economy, politics, media, judiciary, telecommunications, and banking.

While both the Okyenhene and President Akufo-Addo have dismissed the content as pure fiction, created by those who have long sought to incite hatred against the Ofori Panin household and Okyeman, scepticism remains.

Members of the NDC have described the Agyapadie document as a blueprint for state capture by the current government.

However, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) disagrees, accusing the opposition of orchestrating the document to manipulate public perception and win power in the upcoming December 7 elections.
