Agric Minister to unveil policies for sector improvement in March

-

The Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Asunafo South, Eric Opoku, has announced that he will unveil policies to revitalise the food and agriculture sector in March 2025.

Speaking at an engagement with chiefs and residents of Sankore in the Ahafo Region, the minister emphasised that the upcoming policies will ensure food security and create export opportunities to boost national revenue.

He assured that the initiatives will transform the sector, improve productivity, and enhance farmers’ earnings.

He also encouraged Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to venture into agriculture, as the new policies would make the sector more lucrative and profitable.

“In March, I will, with all Ghanaians, outline all the policies the Mahama administration has for the agricultural sector to help improve the lives of farmers in the country. Farming is a very lucrative industry, and we need to build on it,” he stated.
