The assembly members of the Agotime-Ziope District in the Volta Region have unanimously endorsed Mr. Alfred Klu Odikro as the new District Chief Executive (DCE), securing his confirmation with a 100% vote.
During the confirmation process, Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu urged the assembly members to grant Mr. Klu Odikro their full support to ensure accelerated development in the district.
All 22 assembly members and government appointees cast their votes in favor of Mr. Klu Odikro, leading to his unanimous confirmation.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Alfred Klu Odikro expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government for their trust in him. He pledged to serve the district diligently and support the party’s agenda to drive development in Agotime-Ziope.
“To begin with, I wish to respectfully extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for nominating me as the District Chief Executive for our dear District. I am humbled by this opportunity and grateful for the confidence reposed in me. I assure you of my commitment and dedication towards the resetting agenda and the fulfillment of the aspirations of our people,” he stated.
He also thanked the assembly members for their overwhelming support, promising to work hand-in-hand with them to improve the living conditions of the people in the district.
“With your support and cooperation, we can enhance the conditions of life for our people. Let us embark on this new chapter with enthusiasm, dedication, and determination to improve the quality of life in Agotime-Ziope,” he added.
Mr. Klu Odikro extended his appreciation to the chiefs, elders, and people of Agotime-Ziope for their support, stating that he would rely on their counsel and wisdom in his leadership journey.
Additionally, he acknowledged the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Charles Agbeve, as well as the NDC leadership and rank and file for their unwavering support.
The newly confirmed DCE outlined his vision for the district, emphasizing education, healthcare, agriculture, road networks, and other key sectors as his priorities.
“We will implement strategies to ensure sustainable growth and development in Agotime-Ziope. I urge all citizens to play their part in the district’s progress. It is only through our collective efforts that we can achieve meaningful development,” he appealed.
Finally, Mr. Klu Odikro reassured the assembly members and residents that he would work tirelessly to uplift the district, urging them to rally behind the assembly’s initiatives.
His confirmation marks the beginning of a new leadership era in Agotime-Ziope, with hopes for progress and development under his stewardship.
