-

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East Constituency, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr has settled the fees of some final year students of the Kwanyarko Secondary Technical School (KWASTECH) who were having tough time settling their fees ahead of the WASSCE examinations.
The MP’s gesture also saved parents who were finding it difficult to settle the bills of their children in the school.
Authorities of the school threatened that they won’t allow the students to write their final examinations because they owed the school.
The MP for the area came to the rescue of the students and paid an amount of GHC10,000. 00 to offer the disadvantaged students the opportunity to sit for their final exams.
Maame Pokuah Sawyerr advised the students to study hard and come out with flying colours.
She further promised that she will be serving the students lunch every day during the examination period.
The MP also distributed branded scientific calculators and mathematical sets to each of the 696 final year students.
