Lots of social media talks suggest Ghana’s youngest Disc Jockey (DJ), DJ Switch doesn’t deserve the crown at the recently held 2019 Ghana DJ Awards.
She was adjudged ‘DJ of the Year’ in a tight group made up of DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and Joy FM’s DJ Black.
Some industry players argue that DJ Switch didn’t deserve the honour at the ceremony.

But, reacting to this on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show on Monday, the young DJ said none of the hate talks matter to her.
According to her, she never thought she would win the overall best award because she was scared of the nominees in the category.
“It doesn’t matter whether you are young or old. If you are a kid they will look at your hard work. There is a marking scheme so for me I believe that they gave me my marks even if it’s not hundred percent. I got the mark to deserve the award. It’s not about age,” she told host Black I.

DJ Switch added that, she is extending her talent to doing music too.
“People should expect a lot. I have recorded many songs. They should expect more from my camp. I am mixing everything. I want to win music awards too. I am doing everything from singing to rap,” she said.
The 2019 edition of the Ghana DJs Award came off at the Accra International Conference Centre with performances from a number of Ghanaian musicians including 2019 VGMA Best New Artiste of the Year, Wendy Shay, Eno Barony and a host of others.
