A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s communication team is of the view that the recent Afrobarometer report on the 2020 polls confirmed how displeased Ghanaians were with the incumbent government, led by President Nana Akufo.
To Anim Piesie, he believes the Akufo-Addo-led government should not have that feedback looking at its massive victory in the 2016 elections.
“Looking at the percentage this government won the elections with and three years into their administration some people say they are not going to vote, it means they are disappointed in this government,” he said.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam show, Tuesday, Mr Piesie said the verdict of Ghanaians in the Afrobarometer report is because Ghanaians are now interested and abreast with issues on the economy.
“All the disappointed Ghanaians are New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters and sympathisers and they have given the government a yellow card because now you see Ghanaians everywhere with earpiece listening to the radio but for NDC supporters, we are keen on changing this nepotistic government,” he asserted.
The Centre for Democratic Development’s Afrobarometer report on the 2020 election suggested a decline in the fortunes of the governing NPP.
