African growth solutions and China-Africa Commercial Affairs Centre sign MOU

Africa Growth Solutions-a trade and advisory services firm, and the China-Africa Commercial Affairs Centre, a renowned Chinese trade and investment promotion has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) in Changsha, China, on October 23, 2024.

The MOUs aim to:
1. Actualize Africa’s growth potential through strategic partnerships, including technical and capacity building towards industrial development, and infrastructure development to unlock Africa’s economic potential and drive growth while expanding markets for China and Africa.
2. Establish a joint venture to promote trade and investment between China and Ghana, fostering economic cooperation and bilateral relations.
This groundbreaking initiative seeks to:
1. Identify and develop opportunities in key sectors, including infrastructure ( energy, roads, transport, water, telecommunications), agriculture, health, and education.
2. Provide capacity-building programs for African businesses
3. Facilitate knowledge and technology transfer.
4. Enhance trade volumes and investment flows between China and African countries.

Akwasi Opong-Fosu, President of AGS also noted that “They are excited to partner with the China-Africa Commercial Affairs Centre to unlock Africa’s growth potential and drive growth. Equally thrilling is the commitment to move forward with the decision to implement the initiative in Ghana, and roll it over in other countries”.
