Majority leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin doesn’t come close to Minority leader, Ato Forson in parliamentary duties; these were the words of National Democratic Congress(NDC) Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi in his assessment of the performance of the duo.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Mr Gyamfi acknowledged that both the Minority and Majority leaders have played significant roles for their respective parties.
However, he said Dr Ato-Forson is far ahead when it comes to their respective parliamentary duties.
Mr Gyamfi made the assessment with regards to the campaign activities of the two lawmakers in the build up to the December 7 election to boost the political fortunes of their parties in the Central region.
“They are both leaders and MPs in central region but what Ato Forson is doing in the central region didn’t start now. I respect Afenyo and give him his due; I won’t take anything away from him.
“He has done excellently well where he is but he doesn’t come close to Ato in terms of the role they are playing in their respective parties. Ato did a lot for the NDC to win the number of seats in 2020,” he added.
