The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah wants Kwasi Appiah, the Black Stars coach to concentrate on local players following the team’s exit in this year’s African Cup of Nations being played in Egypt.

The controversial man of God, who claims he had played football before and therefore had a fair knowledge of football, expressing his view after Black Stars was kicked out on Monday, said coach Appiah lacks the tactical skill to coach a team.

He said if the coach still wants to maintain his job, then he needs to be tactical and also concentrate mainly on local players to build firm confidence in them.

“I have played football before and discussed football on radio some years ago and so I know more about football and I must say the coach has not done well for the team. If he really wants to continue coaching the team then he should also concentrate on our local players.

“There is one guy who plays for Hearts and he is a defender, he is very good but he has not even gotten a chance in the national team and so he needs to look at that to build their confidence. The more local players he uses, the more confidence they will get in any task,” he told Accra based Okay FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.
