AFCON 2019 qualifier: Zimbabwe referee to officiate Ghana-Sierra Leone game

-

Referee Norman Matemera has been named as referee for Ghana’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at home against Sierra Leone on October 11, 2019, at the Babayara Sports Stadium.

The 36-year-old Zimbabwean will be assisted on the lines by Thomas Kusosa and Luckson Mhara.

Referee Matemera is well known after he rejected a US$ 10,000 bribe from Desportivo Niefang to influence a CAF Confederation Cup match against Ivorian side, Williamsville Athletic Club at home.

The Black Stars of Ghana are looking to bounce back after losing 1-0 to Kenya in the qualifiers last month in Nairobi
