The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred its former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo, to the disciplinary committee for violating party directives.
The party’s decision stems from Adwoa Safo’s recent interview, where she discussed internal party matters publicly, despite a directive for members to refrain from such actions.
A statement signed by General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua highlighted that Adwoa Safo was expected to set a positive example for others.
However, her comments have been viewed as undermining the party’s efforts to rebuild and move forward after the emotional distress and disappointment members experienced following the party’s defeat in the last election.
The NPP reiterated the importance of unity and calm as it focuses on its recovery and future success.
