Aduana FC, Yaw Acheampong mutually part ways after poor start

-

Aduana F.C. and head coach Yaw Acheampong have parted ways by mutual agreement following a poor start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The decision comes on the heels of Aduana’s 2-0 home loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday during Matchday 12.

The defeat was sealed by a superb free-kick from defender Patrick Asiedu and a goal from the in-form Albert Amoah, further amplifying calls for a shake-up in the coaching department.

In the interim, assistant coach Paul Tandoh has been appointed to oversee the team until a new head coach is named.

Despite a respectable fifth-place finish last season, the two-time league champions have struggled this term, managing only two wins, two draws, and five losses in their opening nine matches.

They currently sit 13th on the league table with 12 points, a performance that has fallen far short of the club’s expectations.

Aduana F.C. will aim for a turnaround under Tandoh’s leadership when they face Berekum Chelsea in a crucial Matchday 13 fixture at Golden City Park on Sunday.
