Ghana’s sole representative in the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup, Aduana Stars was hammered 6-0 by Raja Casablanca in their last Group A game at Stade Mohamed V.
The Ghanaian champions were two goals down inside the opening quarter-hour thanks to a brace from Mouhssine Iajour amidst reports of players suffering from diarrhoea a day earlier.
The home side increased the tally to 4 before recess after Zakarai Hadraf and Soufiane Rahimi also found the back of the net.
The Green Eagles dominated play after recess and added another two to record their biggest win in the group stage of this year’s competition.
Raja is joined in the knockout stages by fellow Group A team AS Vita (DRC), as well as RS Berkane (Morocco), Al Masry (Egypt), Enyimba (Nigeria), CARA Brazzaville (Congo), USM Alger (Algeria) and Rayon Sports (Rwanda).
