The wife of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Angela Adjei Boateng, is facing fresh allegations of evidence tampering in the ongoing corruption case against her and her husband.

During a hearing at the Accra Human Rights Court on Friday, March 28, Deputy Attorney General Justice Srem Sai told the court that Angela Adjei Boateng allegedly attempted to destroy evidence by moving large sums of money into suitcases on the night she was informed of her husband’s arrest.

Following this revelation, the court amended her bail conditions while maintaining the amount at GH₵80 million with two sureties. She is now required to report to authorities three times a week for the next three weeks.

Additionally, the court has placed restrictions on the couple’s movements, allowing them to travel only with the express permission of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

Meanwhile, her husband’s bail condition was revised from GH₵120 million to GH₵80 million, with one of his two sureties required to be justified.

The Attorney General’s office has accused the couple of diverting $7 million meant for a cyber defense system into personal accounts.
