A physician, innovator, inventor, scientist, and entrepreneur, Dr. George Henry Acquah, is advocating for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Ghana to streamline work processes and make them more efficient.
He made this call during a public lecture at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, themed “AI in Medicine: Now and the Future.”
The event aimed to educate students and healthcare professionals about the current uses and future possibilities of AI in the medical field.
In an interview with Adom News, Dr Acquah emphasized the significant benefits of integrating AI into both professional and daily activities and urged Ghanaians to embrace this technology.
He said AI can greatly enhance productivity and simplify tasks across various sectors.
“The most important thing is to adopt artificial intelligence in our work, business, and daily activities, which will greatly benefit us,” he stated.
Dr. Acquah encouraged everyone to use AI wisely for their own good, noting the numerous advantages it offers.
Participants at the lecture expressed their appreciation to the organizers, acknowledging the valuable insights gained and calling for more such initiatives to be organized regularly.
They urged policymakers to continue providing platforms that enhance the understanding of AI, particularly for students.
“We thank the organizers for this amazing lecture and are grateful to be here. It’s an honor, and we urge policymakers to consistently organize forums and seminars nationwide,” a student attendee remarked.
