The forecourt of Multimedia was a hub of excitement on Independence Day as hundreds of people gathered for the much-anticipated Fufu Party, eager to enjoy their favorite Ghanaian delicacy.

Patrons lined up with their earthenware bowls, known as “asanka” or “apɔtɔ yiwa,” ready to be served for free. The aroma of various soups filled the air, adding to the anticipation as guests indulged in the rich culinary experience.

This year’s edition coincided with Ghana’s 68th Independence Day, making the celebration even more vibrant.

Per the program’s arrangements, attendees only needed their asanka to be served, reinforcing the event’s tradition of bringing people together through food. The much-anticipated fufu bazaar attracted a diverse mix of guests eager to savor different soups prepared by experienced chefs.

The entertainment lineup was equally thrilling, setting the perfect mood for the day.

Highlife legend Samuel Owusu was the first to take the stage, treating fans to his timeless hits like Yenka Wo Nite No, Mempe Me Ho Asem, and Kokosakyi, getting the crowd singing and dancing along.

Gospel musician Queen Esther followed with a soul-stirring performance, her powerful voice resonating with the audience. She delivered an uplifting set that left patrons in awe.

Joyce Blessing then took over the stage, lighting up the event with her energetic performance. The gospel sensation delivered back-to-back hits, getting fans on their feet as they danced and worshipped.

Comedian MJ brought a lighter touch to the celebration with his hilarious performance. He highlighted Ghana’s progress over the years with his witty jokes, blending humor with a sense of national pride.

Reggae/Dancehall star Ras Kuuku closed the show with an electrifying performance. His mix of classic reggae sounds and modern influences got the crowd dancing and singing along.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as he shared his thought-provoking lyrics, highlighting Ghanaian culture and unity.

The Fufu Party once again proved to be a perfect fusion of music, culture, and food, creating an unforgettable Independence Day experience.
