Ghana’s Best 4-Star Hotel, Accra City Hotel, is still on award winning streak, having been adjudged the Best Organisation in Ghana at the 2017 edition of the Young Professionals Role Model Award, organised by the Young Professionals Youth Coalition (YPYC), in Accra.
This brings to seven, the number of awards the Hotel has won within the last two years.
At the event, several accomplished Ghanaian personalities were identified and recognised for transforming the lives of the youths through dedicated service while contributing to the development of the Ghanaian society.
The multiple award-winning hotel was recognised for exhibiting exemplary leadership in its industry, and for initiating programmes to unearth talents in the youths of Ghana.
Commenting on the feat, the Executive Director of Accra City Hotel and Group CEO of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee, said the award is an encouragement for the Hotel to continue to offer the youths opportunities for self-development.
“As a hotel, we consider it crucial to invest in young people. We commit to helping the youths to find their passion and interests so that the best in them will come to manifestation. Our unique way of doing this is through art lessons, competitions and workshops among others.”
Mr. Adu-Sarkodee added that the Hotel will continue to implement programmes and initiatives that will put Ghana and the city of Accra on the radar of travellers, through international hotel best practices, while giving special attention to young people in the country by offering opportunities for total development.
The General Manager of Accra City Hotel, Roman Krabel, expressed gratitude to YPYC for recognising the initiatives of the 4-Star brand.
He said the Hotel will continue to pioneer initiatives that will distinguish it and also help develop the hospitality industry in Ghana.
“We are quite elated about this award. It shows that our commitment to developing the talents of the youths of Ghana is yielding fruits. Next year, we will step up our efforts at doing that; Accra City Hotel will continue to engage the youths in programmes that will bring the best out of them and make them financially-independent,” Mr. Krabel stated.
Accra City Hotel is expected to receive another award at the World Luxury Awards in Switzerland, next month.
