Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has reiterated his team’s commitment to securing victory in every match of the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians continued their impressive form with a narrow 1-0 triumph over Legon Cities during Matchday 16 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Speaking after the hard-fought win, the Ivorian tactician emphasized the team’s determination to approach every game with a winning mindset.
“Some people say we have the weakest team but we [continue] to play. Every match is a challenge for Hearts of Oak,” he said.
“For now, we need to target maximum points from every game. We don’t want to see what we saw last season when we were struggling because we didn’t have the points,” Ouattara added.
The victory places Hearts of Oak fifth on the league table with 28 points, just two points shy of current leaders, Heart of Lions.
Next, the Rainbow Club will face defending champions FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in their Matchday 17 fixture, aiming to maintain their momentum in the title race.
