Aboubakar Ouattara knows he must win games to survive – Opare Addo

-

Public Relations Officer for Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has assured that head coach Aboubakar Ouattara is diligently working to improve the team’s performance.

The Rainbow Club has struggled at the start of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, suffering defeats in their first two matches against Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions.

These back-to-back losses have left them at the bottom of the league standings with no points.

The team’s poor start has prompted some fans to call for the dismissal of the Ivorian coach, who signed a two-and-a-half-year contract midway through last season.

Despite the criticism, Opare Addo remains optimistic about Ouattara’s efforts.

“Aboubakar Ouattara understands the situation, and I know he is working on the situation. I know that at the end of the season, our story will be different,” he said on Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show.

“After the game against Heart of Lions, he passionately addressed the players and I know he is doing that in the interest of the club.

Hearts of Oak will look to secure their first win of the season as they face Bechem United in their matchday three clash this weekend.
