Chaos erupted at the Assemblies of God Church polling station in the Ablekuma West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday morning.
The confusion followed the arrival of a truck of breakfast allegedly from the incumbent Member of Parliament(MP) Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
The angry constituents chased an Ash pickup which was fully loaded with food packed in boxes out of the voting centre amidst hooting.
Reports suggest the occupants explained the food was for polling and electoral officials.
“We just brought food breakfast for our polling agents and EC officials, but the NDC members are asking us to take the vehicle out. The food is from Ursula Owusu. This shouldn’t create a problem because it’s not for voters,” Doris Boakye, a member of the NPP in Ablekuma West told Citi News.
A video shared by ChannelOne TV on X captured the vehicle being driven away from the polling station.
