Ablekuma North: Why did you retrieve your goodies if you won? – NPP’s Akua Afriyie quizzed

The Ablekuma North National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn, has said her opponent, New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Akua Afriyie, is aware she lost the 2024 election.

In an interview on Dwaso Nsem, Ewurabena alleged that Nana Akua’s defeat caused her to retrieve items she had distributed to constituents ahead of the December 7 election.

According to her, Nana Akua would not have taken such action if she had truly won the election as she claims.

“Someone who claims not to have lost—immediately after the declaration was made—you went back asking people to return items you shared, accusing them of not voting for you,” she stated.

Ewurabena further alleged that Akua Afriyie feels entitled, hence her refusal to concede defeat despite clearly losing.

Insisting that her opponent is playing manipulative games, Ewurabena Aubynn described the election period as one marred by aggression and underhand tactics.
