Abdul Aziz Issah, John Antwi nominated for CAF inter-club Player of the Year award

Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Aziz Issah has been nominated for the 2024 CAF Inter-club Player of the Year award.

Issah shares this honour with his Dreams FC teammate John Antwi, making them the only Ghanaians in the running for the prestigious accolade.

The nomination comes after Issah’s standout performance in last season’s CAF Confederation Cup, where he was recognized by CAF as one of Africa’s top young talents.

He finished as the tournament’s leading scorer, netting four goals and providing two assists in ten matches, helping Dreams FC achieve a historic semi-final finish.

Antwi matched Issah’s goal tally and captained the team throughout the tournament.

His impressive displays earned him a transfer to FC Barcelona’s B team at the end of the season, where he is now preparing for his debut.

Issah is the second Ghanaian player to join Barcelona this summer, following David Oduro’s transfer from Accra Lions just last week.
