A victory for NPP in 2024 will mark the end of the NDC – NAPO

The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has urged the people of the Ashanti Region to vote overwhelmingly for the NPP in the upcoming 2024 general elections to ensure the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is removed from Ghana’s political landscape.

The call was made during a mega health walk organized by the Manhyia South Constituency of the NPP to mobilize support for the party’s parliamentary candidate, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The event saw participation from the NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, as well as Members of Parliament and parliamentary candidates in the Ashanti Region.

Addressing supporters after the walk, Dr. Opoku Prempeh stated, “The NDC has never respected the people of Ashanti Region, but the NPP has always ensured that this region gets its fair share of the national cake.”

He went on to declare, “This election could be the last competitive election because once the NPP wins, the NDC will become irrelevant in Ghana’s politics.”

General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua also emphasized the importance of voter participation, warning that the biggest mistake the people of Ashanti Region could make would be staying home on election day.

“If you don’t vote, you give the NDC an advantage,” he cautioned, adding, “For the ongoing development projects to continue, we need to ensure the NPP stays in power.
