Ghanaian musician and political activist, Kwame A Plus, has claimed that his social media pages are being monitored by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) in Ghana.
According to A Plus, some BNI agents stormed his house at dawn when he was out of Ghana because he put out some “sensitive” information on his social media page.
The BNI is an integral part of the National Security architecture which oversees matters of counterintelligence and internal security of Ghana but according to A Plus, he was stunned when they picked up the information for further investigations.

He commended them for their follow-up, saying, “…this is a new BNI. They were polite and calm and doing good work” but was quick to add that “they shouldn’t have come to my house at dawn; if you want a friendly conversation, you don’t come to my house at dawn. They didn’t ransack the house though.”
A Plus also told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that the “BNI have people who stay in and check what’s happening on my social media page. There are 111 ministers because one is checking on me [sic].
