A-Plus demands update on Ahmed Suale’s murder investigation, threatens to expose alleged ‘perpetrator’

Kwame Asare-Obeng, popularly known as A Plus and Member of Parliament for the Gomoa Central constituency, has issued a strong demand for progress on the investigation into the 2019 murder of journalist Ahmed Suale.

In a Facebook post, A Plus revealed that he was invited to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters last year, where he provided crucial information about the case.

He alleged that a former government Minister orchestrated the crime, citing a “highly credible” source he discussed with the CID director.

Expressing frustration over what he perceives as stagnation in the investigation, A Plus urged the CID director to update the public on its progress.

“It is critical that the CID director updates the public on the progress of the investigation. At this point, it appears the matter has been sidelined,” he emphasized.

A Plus has given the Ghana Police Service a 48-hour ultimatum to provide updates on the case. Failing that, he vowed to use his authority as a Member of Parliament to summon the police to brief Parliament on the matter.

“If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will formally summon the Ghana Police Service to Parliament to account for their efforts on this case,” he declared.

Additionally, A Plus warned that if these measures yield no results, he would disclose what he knows about the case, including the alleged perpetrator’s name, through his social media platforms.
