National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s MP for Ningo Prampram believes the violence that marred the Ayawaso West Wuogon gave Ghanaians a collective power to speak to truth.
According to Mr Sam George what would have been a simple democratic exercise turned into a blood bath and will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the political history of Ghana.
He said this while speaking at the one year commemoration of the Ayawaso West Wuogon violence at the La Bawaleshie school park on Friday.

Mr Sam George stressed the experience of the event has become a nightmare which will scar himself and 26 others for life.
He believes the violence was premeditated and calculated attempt to inflict damages on the NDC and they are prepared to retaliate with physical force if the incident should repeat itself.
The death of sitting MP, Emmanuel Agyarko necessitated the by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency on January 31, 2019.
However, the by-election was marred by violence at La Bawalashie polling station where gun shots were fired by men cladded in National Security Uniforms.
