Ampem Darkoa footballer, Princella Adubea, was, yesterday, honoured by organizers of the People’s Award for her exploits in women football.
The Sunyani Senior High graduate begun active football in senior high playing for Prisons and has risen through the ranks of the female national teams to earn a call up into the Black queens last February but could not join her colleagues due to injury.
The current captain of the Black Princesses expressed her joy at the award saying she is elated to be recognized and will continue to do more for her club and country.
The goal poacher and winger helped the black princesses to qualify for their fifth consecutive world cup appearance in France, finishing as joint top scorer of the qualifiers with 10 goals to her credit.
The event was held at the coconut Grove hotel and attracted many high profile personalities.
