Yenbo Nkomo Diaries: Dating older men more convenient than younger men – women

-

Panelists on Adom FM’s Yenbo Nkomo talk show last Tuesday gave a plethora of reasons younger women prefer older men to younger men as dates.
The all-female panelists generally believe older men give less pressure, more respectful, and they support women to get establish but they even demand less sex, unlike young men who want more sex but give less.

Radio talk show Yenbo Nkomo hosted by TV and Radio diva Maame Yeboah Asiedu (aka Maame Gold) delved into the issues deeper and the women did not pull back punches at all.
Actress and Producer, Nayas who was a panelist on the show said she prefer older men because “they do not give pressure – they don’t demand too much sex and they will give you whatever you need.”
She said older men are well established and can even provide for a woman’s children and family once he loves the woman, but younger men do not provide much for ladies and yet they demand more sex.
Nayas thinks older men are usually calmer than the younger ones and she loves it that way.

  1. Nayas, Boakyewaa and Gifty

A regular panelist, Boakyewaa said she likes older men because they are good confidants, explaining that unlike younger men, the older men do not expose whatever goes on between them and their women, but the younger ones would always brag to their friends about their intimate moments with women.
Boakyewaa also likes the fact that older men work hard for their money and so they usually spend it wisely, but the young ones tend to be wasteful and materialistic.
“What I like about older men most is that they respect women and know how to treat a woman, unlike the younger ones who are immature and mistreat women,” she said.
According to Boakyewaa, older men are usually more connected and can help build a woman’s future better than younger men who are usually now struggling in the university or for a position in a company.
She also said her mum would be happy to see her with an older man because life in the city isn’t easy and she needs to survive.
Boakyewaa believe women also go in for older men with a plan to use them to attain a certain level in life in terms of securing their future before falling in love with a younger man who they are sure of marrying.
“The women often know the older man will not leave his wife and marry them and will not also make them second wife, so they go in just to get what they want and leave,” she said.

Sarah and Bernice

Another panelist, Sarah said it is better to get a younger man to start life with, but agreed with the other panelists that there is too much stress in dating a younger man than a woman can handle.
She said naturally, she does not demand from men because she is established, but she expects the man to at least in a while buy her gifts.
This she said, the younger men do not know how to do but they talk too much and that is the problem she has with them.
She explained that the younger men usually tend to cheat on their women, while they are both trying to support each other to establish a life together
Sarah finds that very disrespectful on the part of the younger men, which has led many young women to date older men.
A married woman on the panel, Gifty rather blamed the older men for dating the younger women, saying that the bad character of men, which often leads to them leaving their wives for the younger women.
She also said older men often love to have younger women around them just to feel young.
Gospel Musician Bernice Ansah, who is also a married woman, advised the younger women to take their time and be patient till they get their own husbands instead of going after rich old men.
She said “if you go after money and the money run out you are likely to move on to the next man who has money and that can lead you into trouble eventually.”
Yenbo Nkomo comes on every Tuesday night between 8:30 and 10pm on Adom FM.
