Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe will travel to Maryland, USA, on April 28th to face Mexico’s Jessie Magdaleno in a fight expected to take place on April 28th, 2018.
At stake is Magdaleno’s WBO World Super Bantamweight title, though Dogboe holds the interim title.
The ex-Olympian got a shot at Magdaleno’s belt after stopping Cesar Juarez in round 5 last month to win the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt.
Magdaleno won the WBO strap when he dethroned Nonito Donaire in November 2016.
He made his first defense of his belt after stopping Adeilson Dos Santos within four rounds in April 2017.
Magdaleno’s fight against Dogboe will be his second defense of his belt.
Dogboe said he is going all out as a warrior and very sure of bringing the title home. He said the battle is for the Lord Almighty and with the nation behind him, he will win.
In a Press Conference held at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Dogboe thanked all the chiefs, companies, people and team who are supporting him.
