Minority are allergic to facts—Akufo-Addo

-

President Akufo-Addo has descended on the Minority in Parliament, describing them as being “allergic to facts”.
The president made the remarks when the Minority side of the house heckled him during his presentation of the 2018 State of the Nation Address in Parliament Thursday.
Mr Akufo-Addo who was speaking on the state of the Eastern Corridor road and was being interrupted said in spite of the fact that the now opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaigned strongly on the Eastern Corridor road as being completed, the road “is nowhere near completion”.
“We are nowhere near completion,” he said, adding that his government would ensure that the road is completed to open up the beneficiary communities for business and development.
According to him, the now opposition NDC only did propaganda with the Eastern Corridor road project.
President Akufo-Addo said his administration would work on other major roads that have not been completed, including the Western Corridor roads.
He added that plans are far advanced to commence work on the country’s railway sector.
He said although the railway sector has not seen much-needed attention since the country gained independence, his administration would ensure that the sector is given a new facelift.
“Railway will become a reality under this administration”, he stated.
