Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has joined Muslims for Friday prayers at the Abossey Okai following his return from medical leave in the UK.
Thanking Ghanaians for the prayers and support, Dr Bawumia remarked that good health is much better than riches.

“It is when you don’t feel well that you appreciate what God has given you,” he said before expressing gratitude to his wife, Samira Bawumia who was with him in the UK.

Dr Bawumia spent 12 days in the UK after his doctors said he had taken ill and needed observation.
The cause of the illness remains unknown sparking theories and conjecture among the Ghanaian public.

But many would be relieved to see him descend the tarmac last Thursday evening beaming and looking healthy.
He was met by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, who considers the Vice-President key to his government’s plan for economic transformation.
Dr Bawumia was also met by several government ministers and hugged affectionately by the Chief of Staff Frema Opare.
