Nii Ayi Bonte, former board member of Accra hearts of Oak has described the demise of die-in-the-wool management member and fan of the club, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, as unfortunate and great loss to the Phobian fraternity.
Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, kown in football circles as Alhaji Hearts, passed on to eternity yesterday at the Korle Bu teaching hospital and commenting on the news, Nii Ayi Bonte described the loss as a huge blow to the football world and the Hearts of Oak family.
Recounting some memories of the late Alhaji Hearts, the Gbese Mantse said Alhaji’s dedication and hardwork towards the wellbeing and development of the club and how he always sacrified to see Hearts of Oak grow and remain on top are some of the memories that will live with him.
“Alhaji played a very significant role in the Hearts of oak fraternity during the club’s glory days and always wanted the club to succeed at all times. He was not just a management member but an advisor to the club”, Nii Ayi Bonte said.
The Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte, asked Hearts fans and followers to use this sober moment to come together, bury all differences and live in the peace the former Team Manager preached before his demise.
