Aduana Stars ready to battle it out with Kotoko in Super Cup

-

Director of Operations for Premier League Champions, Aduana Stars, Mr. George Gyaw has confirmed that his side will be participating in the 2018 Super Cup competition.
This comes after several reports claimed that leaders of the club were opposing the venue for the game as they see the host region to favour Asante Kotoko, their opponents for the game.
But, Mr. Gyaw said their outfit was ready to play the match at the scheduled venue.
“We have accepted to play Kotoko at Obuasi in the Super Cup”, he stated in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
“It will be a very interesting competition”, he added.
Aduanana Stars will be battling it out with Asante Kotoko, winners of the 2017 FA Cup competition.
Aduana Stars secured their second GPL title last season with 57 points, while Asante Kotoko also beat rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 to lift their ninth FA Cup trophy.
The Super Cup is a competition between the champion of the GPL and the winner of the Ghanaian FA Cup in Ghana before any upcoming season.
The Super Cup was founded in 1996 and has since then been played seven times making the Aduana vs Kotoko game the 8th edition.
