Egyptian premier league giants Ismaily SC have signed former Hearts of oak captain, Thomas abbey on a free transfer after he passed a medical.
The forceful midfielder’s contract with his Hearts expired after the just ended 2016/2017 season and the former Winneba Sports College product failed to extend his contract.

Abbey after failed trials in South Africa with Ajax Cape Town, trained briefly with Hearts of Oak until he joined the Cairo-based club where he is due to begin training today.
The influential captain enjoyed his best campaign in the Ghana Premier League last season where he bagged 13 goals and provided 4 assists in the process for the Phobians and was an integral member of the Black Stars B squad that won the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.
