National Chapters Committee organizer of Hearts of Oak, Paa Kofi Sunsum, says their GHALCA G8 semifinals clash with archrivals Asante Kotoko at the Babayara sports stadium this afternoon is only a rehearsal for the Phobians’ readiness for the upcoming season.
Speaking on the Ultimate sports show on Asempa FM, the Phobia man admitted his club has lost some key players after a good season, adding that the G8 tournament has provided them the opportunity to try some new players for possible replacement.

“Playing against Kotoko this afternoon is nothing but a litmus test for the new team we are putting together for next season. We lost key players like Winful Cobbina, Vincent Atinga and Kwame Kizito who did so well for the club last season and we are trying new players ahead of the season”, he said.
“It is only unfortunate we are meeting Kotoko at this stage of the competition but we will use them [Kotoko] as a ‘test transmission’ for our new players. The two players who scored in Kotoko’s last game don’t normally score so we are not worried”, added.
