Football governing body, FIFA has given former Hearts of Oak midfielder, Leonard Tawiah the green light to register and play for top Lebanese side, Al-Akhaa al Ally.
The clearance was given by FIFA after his former club, Accra Hearts of Oak failed to approve his TPO when the Lebanese side wrote to them for clearance.
Hearts of Oak reportedly failed to sign the TPO to indicate they had no contract with the player.
Leonard Tawiah has however gone ahead to sign a contract with the Lebanese side. Details of the contract are however scanty.
Leonard Tawiah arrived in Accra from current League Champions, Aduana Stars in 2014 and gave a good account of himself under late Herbert Addo and Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
He was Sergio Tranquil’s best holding midfielder, his best season however came in the second round of 2016/2017 season under a Scottish gaffer, Frank Elliot Nuttal.
He refused to renew his contract citing personal reasons despite attempts to get him stay at Hearts of Oak.
