Vice -chairman for the Premier League Board (PLB), George Amoako, has described the 2016/2017 football season as “useless”.

In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, the vice-chairman who doubles as GHALCA treasurer said, “The 2017 football season in Ghana was nothing to write home about.
“It takes a lot of money to run football so it becomes frustrating when you invest so much and gets nothing, so in a nutshell the 2017 season wasn’t a good one. It was bad and I believe we could have done better”, he added.
In 2017, Ghana failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 2006.
