World Kick Boxing Federation (WKBF) Champion, Alhassan Okoe Okine, popularly known as ‘Ghana Van Damme’ is beaming with confidence ahead of his next fight against Australia’s Ben ‘Bullrider’ Burrage in February 2018.
Okoe who doubles as the World Boxing Council (WBC) Muay Thai Super Welterweight Champion, has defeated Burrage twice but the opponent is keen on challenging Okine for his world title for the third time.
“I am preparing very well for the fight and convinced I will successfully defend any title to make the nation proud.
“I snatched the WKBF World title from him so he is hungry to reclaim the title but I am more determined to retain it to begin another successful year in my career”, he stated.
The Dubai based kick boxer has six title belts in the sport that appears to have provided a number of Ghanaians a source of livelihood.
Having lived in Dubai for the past 11 years, Okoe Okine has become a cult hero following his exploits in the ring.
Alhassan Okoe Okine, is also contemplating on combining fighting and coaching to impart his knowledge to new fighters emerging from Ghana.
