A man believed to be in his early 30s was on Thursday morning arrested on the Faanofa Street in Kokomlemle in Accra for allegedly trying to cash out a false cheque.
Details surrounding the circumstances that led to his arrest are sketchy but eye witnesses claim the order for his arrest came from the Societe Generale branch on the busy street where he had gone for financial transactions.

The Bank, according to the witnesses telephoned the Police and raised an alarm.
