The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has donated assorted food items to support the 2017 edition of Joy FM’s annual charity programme, Joy Easter Soup Kitchen.
The items included bags of rice, cartons of soft drinks, cooking oil and many others to support the event.
Presenting the items, the Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Kofi Osei-Ameyaw said the gesture, according to him, is part of their contribution to feed the destitute in the society.
The Joy FM Easter Soup Kitchen which is part of station’s corporate social responsibility support the underprivileged in society.
During the event, thousands of head porters and other vulnerable groups in society are feted, clothed and given medical care.
Tagged as the most touching social intervention event by Joy FM, Mr. Osei-Ameyaw said NLA is pleased to be part of the initiative.
The former Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman pledged NLA’s continuous support to the Easter Soup Kitchen.
Receiving the items, host of Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan show host, Doreen Andoh expressed the company profound gratitude to NLA.
She urged other individuals and corporate bodies to emulate their example.
