The late presenter of Asempa FM’s late afternoon political show, ‘Ekosii Sen’, Joseph Kwadwo Asare-Barfour Acheampong (KABA) will be embarking on his journey to his maker this weekend.
The versatile show host whose death on November 18, stunned the entire nation would commence his journey of no return from the forecourt of the State House in Accra where his body will be laid in state for the public to pay their last respect.
He will be laid in state at 4:30am on Saturday, December 16, 2017. There will be no wake.
A burial service will be held at the same venue for the man whose professionalism in the profession has been widely praised by politicians from both all political parties in the country.
At about mid-morning on Saturday, KABA will be carried high from the State House and led majestically to the Osu Cemetery where his body will be interred.
The mourners will return to the same venue, (State House) after his interment to carry out his funeral.
High profile persons including the three living ex-Presidents, John Rawlings, John Kufour and John Mahama, are expected to come mourn the gentleman whose name because synonymous with professionalism in political talk show presentation.
The sitting President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are expected to join his colleagues from Multimedia and the family to mourn Joseph Kwadwo Asare Barfour Acheampong who was aged 37.
Judging from the attendance at KABA’s memorial and one week observation, the funeral is expected to attract a big crowd which would include musicians and other showbiz players.
The Thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday at the Gethsemane Methodist Church at Mamprobi, Accra.
There will be a family gathering at his home in Abeka Free Pipe, near the Harvest Chapel after the church service.
