Call your arrogant ministers to order – Akufo-Addo warned

-

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has been warned to start disciplining ministers who have started showing signs of arrogance to the public.
Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs said this is necessary if the government will continue to enjoy the good will of the citizenry and also succeed.
Allotey claimed some of the Ministers have started showing signs of arrogance and hence demanded that they should be punished by the President.
One of the arrogant ministers, he said on Adom FM’s Morning Show. ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Tuesday is Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul.
According to him, Dominic Nitiwul over-stepped his boundaries when he demanded that former President Mahama vacates his current residence.
“I hope Akufo-Addo won’t buy into the arrogance of his ministers, he has to learn to discipline his ministers when they are at fault…,” he charged.
The Bimbilla MP stirred controversy when he called on former President, John Mahama to vacate military lands on which he occupied.
“I am advising [ex-President Mahama] that if I were him, I will not live there.” Mr Nitiwul explained that there was nothing wrong for the former president to occupy military lands but not one which is under contention.
Although he was not specific where the land is, Mr Nitiwul said that parcel is expected to serve as a boundary between civilians and the military
He further argued that it is not advisable for Mr Mahama to occupy “a land that the Armed Forces have interest in”.
The Minister has come under serious attacks from the spokesperson of the former President who insist he is disrespecting the former President.
And Allotey believes his action smacks of arrogance as the former President is never his co-equal.
He thus called on the President to advise some of his appointees since they are gradually growing horns.
