Ghanaian highlife musician, Samuel Ofori Amponsah, popularly known as Mr ‘All 4 Real’ has cautioned various musicians to plan towards their future.
According to him, as a pacesetter in the music industry, he believes songwriters should desist from extravagant lifestyle if they want to prosper in life.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Friday, the ‘Otoolege’ hitmaker explained that, ‘as a musician, if you don’t have assets, you will suffer.’
He clarified that unlike other professional careers where a pension is guaranteed, venturing into music will render a musician none.
It is with this that he said, ‘People have the perception that I don’t have money. It’s only because I can’t boast. It’s good to have assets. Musicians don’t have assets. The money comes in little by little. And we don’t have pension schemes.’
Ofori Amponsah further revealed prayer as the only force that keeps him unbent in the entertainment industry.
“God gave me all I have. I can say people follow religion and won’t understand me. I believe solely in God. Some people don’t know how much I have cried. No one can change my mind about prayer. From the age of nineteen years I have been prayerful…” he told host Andy Dosty.
