A member of the Division One League Board, Mr.Takyi Arhin, known in the sports circles as “Tender” has descended heavily on the Marketing and Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association, saying they are “lethargic and powerless”.
His claims comes at a time where the headline sponsor for the Division One League, GN Bank, is refusing to extend its sponsorship deal.
The financial firm signed a three-year contract with the Ghana Football Association, a deal which expired at the end of the 2016/17 season.
However, all efforts by the Ghana Football Association to seek renewal of the sponsorship deal has proved futile since the company remains reluctant on signing another agreement with the Nation’s football governing body.
The seasoned football administrator in an interview with Asempa FM said “the Marketing and Executive committee of the GFA is lazy and toothless”.
“The mandate for getting sponsorship for the League lies in the bosom of the executive committee but they are not working”.
“I can say without fear or favour that not a single club will remain in zone one to compete in the Division One League next season “, he added.
