Asante Kotoko and their Croatian tactician Dzravko Lugarusic have mutually parted ways just three months after agreeing on a deal.
This came after the Porcupine Warriors [Asante Kotoko] were held to a barren draw [0-0] by Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. Meanwhile, assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey has been told by management to take charge of the team until further notice.
The Croat [Dzravko Lugarusic] has come under undue pressure from the supporters of the club due to their recent poor results coupled with his preferred 3-5-2 tactical formation.
Dravko’s statistics at Kotoko after 11 games stands; 5 wins, 4 draws, and 2 losses. He left the Red Army [Asante Kotoko] at the second spot on the Ghana Premier League ladder.
Last season, coach David Duncan was left bemused and amused when he was told by the then management to ‘step aside’ which eventually led to his sack.
Duncan’s situation was quite comical having visited the team’s training grounds at Adako Jackie only to find an empty park whilst his assistant at the time, Michael Osei was leading the team in training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
