The Nkosuohene of Worawora in the Biakoye district of Volta region Nana Owusu Afari has pleaded with the Ministry for Tourism, Arts and Culture to help them showcase their culture
Speaking at the Akwantutenten festival, the Chief said the support will help them showcase the ancestral artifacts of the Worawora to the world.
According to him, he believes the project will uplift the image of the Tourism Industry in Ghana.
“We want to create a museum to expand the tourist centres to attract tourists. We urge the minister of tourism to help us to bring it to life. We have a lot of values and ancestral artifacts. We want the road to be constructed well. We want them to come and research into it…” he mentioned
Meanwhile, the special adviser to the Minister Frank Appiah Agyei thanked the Chief for giving out a 500-acre land to support the One-district-one-factory policy initialized by the NPP government.
He further assured the people of Worawora the government’s support to build the modernized museum that will add value to the Ghana Tourism sector and educate people about their rich ancestral history.
